With extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles within the education nonprofit sector, Maria brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to AVID.

Most recently serving as the CFO for Education Trust, Maria has worked closely with former U.S. Secretary of Education John King, demonstrating her ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders. In addition to developing budgets, monitoring and projecting revenues and expenses, and effectively communicating financial information, Maria’s work at Education Trust also involved the creation of a quasi-endowment, showcasing her strategic financial acumen.
