AVID gives educators the tools to prepare students with critical skills to make them future-ready and help them better navigate their digital world.

Modeling, intentionally teaching, and supporting digital literacy skills builds students’ research fluency, communication, digital citizenship, and healthy engagement skills. In order for our students to be future-ready, they need multiple opportunities to utilize and apply digital learning strategies.

AVID provides resources to build digital competencies including analyzing credibility, identifying bias, avoiding misleading messages, creating positive digital footprints, and utilizing digital tools for research fluency. The intentional use of these strategies empowers students to self-advocate and understand the responsibility they have to themselves and others in an increasingly digital world.
