Eligio Pimentel is a shareholder at McAndrews, Held & Malloy, Ltd., and a lifelong education advocate. Mr. Pimentel grew up in the small town of Exeter in the California Central Valley, the son of migrant farm workers. Blessed with the support of a community of family, teachers, and friends who took a keen and active interest in his success, Mr. Pimentel went on to earn a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Stanford University, and a J.D. with honors from the University of Minnesota Law School.
Mr. Pimentel is a long-time, active supporter of educational opportunities for economically disadvantaged children. He is a past board member and vice chairman of the Illinois State Board of Education. Prior to that, he served on the boards of the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School and the Mary Crane Center.
Mr. Pimentel tries to maintain life balance through sport and is a nine-time Ironman® triathlon finisher, including the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. He lives in Oak Park, Illinois with his wife of 28 years and his two sons and daughter.
