AVID Alumni: College, Career and Life Trailblazers

Since the first class of AVID Elective Senior graduated in 1983, it is estimated that there are nearly 1 million AVID Alumni. Their attachment to AVID remains strong, and they are eager to stay connected, but they have had minimal opportunities to reengage with AVID.

In 2023, AVID Center launched AVID Alumni Services to build a vibrant and sustainable alumni community and create meaningful events and webinars that extend AVID’s impact and visibility. We will address gaps in opportunity knowledge for high school students and their families, guardians, or mentors by providing and promoting easy-to-use AVID Open Access resources that spark their interest in college and careers, broaden their understanding, and stairstep them through the process.

Together with AVID champions, AVID will form mutually beneficial relationships with and amongst AVID alumni across the world to continue to support increased success in college and careers.
