Allison currently serves as a Program Specialist in the Eastern Region, where she leads, aligns, and calibrates efforts for regions and organizational departments. She informs, designs, and implements internal professional learning and represents regions as a resource for organizational goals, strategies, and tactics supporting AVID’s growth, impact, and organizational culture.
After being introduced to AVID, Allison quickly realized that her passion for educational equity was perfectly aligned with AVID’s mission to close the opportunity gap. She began her career with AVID in 2007 as one of the first Program Managers in the organization, supporting school districts across the entire Eastern Region.
Allison has over 20 years of experience in education, having served in both rural and urban districts as a high school English teacher, AVID Elective teacher, and AVID Site Coordinator. She continued her journey in educational leadership as an AVID District Director, where she oversaw the implementation of AVID in multiple schools and developed and facilitated professional learning.
She has an MA in Education from Western Governor’s University and a BA in English Education from Florida A&M University.
